How does a person make the frosting a cream color? Thanks for you help!Wannabee
Welcome to CC!Americolor makes an ivory that works great and it wouldn't take much to acheive a nice ivory color.
Yes this ivory is good for a cream hue.
When I am making buttercream and I want it to be cream colored, I use butter flavored crisco and vanilla extract that is not clear. I think it is a nice, rich color.
I use the cheap, brown vanilla instead of clear vanilla.
Yes I do the same as indybi!! HTHShelleylynn
Make your buttercream with all butter and use real vanilla.
i also use the cheap, brown vanilla and usually regular yellow margerine... makes a nice cream/ivory color.Liliana
I use regular vanilla instead of clear when I want cream icing. That way when I'm doing a huge cake with lots of icing my icing is all the same color.
I use a tiny bit of Americolor ivory.
Wow! That was easy! Thanks for all the suggestions......will try the butter crisco with brown vanilla.Great site......You guys are the best!Have a Great Cake Day!Donna
