I have some chocolate clay I would like to drape as swags on a cake. I am wondering if it would be sturdy enough on its own or if i should do something to it. would kneading in tylose help? or i could mix with mmf?
thanks for any ideas.

Kim
I think it really depends on the recipe you're using and how hard it sets. The recipe i use sets pretty hard, and apart from it tearing a lot easier than fondant does, i think it should be sturdy enough to make swags. If it becomes too soft from handling it, you can always pop it in the fridge for a bit to set it quicker.

PS: Here is the recipe i use

I've seen these references to Tylose many times and am wondering what it is and where I can get it.

They sell Tylose on sugarcraft's website. I bought some to add to my fondant. The humidity here is so bad that fondant won't dry ever no matter how long you let it set out. Experiment with a little bit of fondant at a time, the instructions they give aren't good (in my opinion) and I almost wasted a $6 box of fondant. Don't let it set overnight, it set up as hard as a rock. I'm still trying to get it to work right, but good luck.
