I made this cake for my niece, who loves my NFSC with RBC. Since she was requesting cookies and cake, I decided to make the top of the cap out of a cookie.

I rolled the cookie and RBC 1/8-inch thick. The cookie is 8 x 8-inches and I put a cake board under it for support. I had a terrible time trying to get the RBC to cover the cookie. I'm one of those that has to put the RBC in the freezer before applying it to the cookie.

This turned out to be a really heavy cookie, by the time it was put on a cake board and covered with the RBC. I waited until we got to the dinner before I put it together.

And I wasn't crazy about the tassel, which was made of fondant. However, it did stay in tack better than I thought it would.

My question is if anyone has any suggestions regarding the cookie? There was no way I could assemble the cake and then carry it to the destination with the way I did it.

Thanks in advance and thanks to Cambo for her inspiration!

Thank you! I used about six straws which worked fine. I believe it would have tipped over had I assembled it and then moved it.

I think it looks great!!! I'm not sure what you could've done differently to transport it as a whole, maybe just keep doing it the way you did and assemble onsite to avoid any risk icon_wink.gif
