Hello!! I have to make a three tier graduation cake in 16, 12, and 8. The color are royal purple, gold and white.

The girls want german chocolate cake with the pecan coconut filling. I usually use Buttercream Dream frosting, but they do not want buttercream.

What frosting can I use with this cake? I am making a mortar cap for the top tier, and doing pearls in purple and gold with sparkle and disco dusts and doing a braid for the 12 inch tier in the purple and gold. And then doing the stars on the wires for all the tiers. THANK YOU ALL!!

What about MMF or flavoring the buttercream with Lorann oils?

I normally do Chocolate Buttercream on a German Chocolate cake but that would be hard to do with the top layer being white. Good luck!
