Nephew graduated from the Phoenix fire academy - his dad (my BIL) has been Phoenix Fire for over 25 years - big doings! Thanks to the tutorial on this site I was able to make a great cake -- was really hard since I don't use fondant and it isn't perfect but I was darn impressed with myself.

The cake itself is SquirrellyCakes scratch chocolate cake - GREAT for carving! Baileys simple syrup and chocolate ganache filling. Chocolate BC under the fondant. The base cake is carrot cake with cream cheese frosting - the cake board was covered in fondant.

Thanks for all the help here!
