Is this a good price for the dummies and they say if you order a couple sets together they combine shipping to make it cheaper. Thanks for the advice................ http://www.taylorfoam.com/taylorfoam_com/cakedummies/

Try http://guildcraftfurniture.com They are the cheapest I have found I'm not sure how much they charge for s&h I pick them up. Also on e-bay they is a store called Adventures in Foam that sells dummies reasonably.

Thanks Val , but the taylorfoam is only 12.99 for 5 piece rounds or squares that's pretty cheap. I wonder if anyone has tried these? This other place is a little more money, anybody familar with either of these two places? Val have you used dummies and if so how do you go about it? Thanks

If I looked at that a little better I would have seen the sets icon_lol.gif sorry I only looked at the individual pieces. Going to have to order there next time. I wrap them tightly in plastic wrap first (not really nessary but they last longer) then decorate like I would a regular cake. When your done with it you scrape off the icing (or un-wrap the plastic wrap) wash and re-decorate. I have been doing this a lot lately so I have a book of pics to show clients.

yeah that's what i want it for and possibly a web page, thanks Also for the bride to see the size of the cake, they don't comprehend how big 4" is when you put one cake on the other.

Honestly thinking about trying to sell dummy wedding cakes with a slice out of back for the bride and groom to "cut" their cake and then sheets to serve. How much less stress would that be!! Make it way ahead of time so you not rushed, won't way a ton and don't need to worry about properly doweling to keep it from falling apart. Have to see if they will go for it icon_biggrin.gif Probably just dreaming.
