I am making three grad caps and plan to make them from gumpaste. I am undecided on exactly what to use to form them. I am thinking of using my doll pan but only using the top few inches. Anyone else that has done a grad cap have any good ideas for me. Thanks in advance.

We just did a grad cap, and used an 8" round three layers and cut out the top square in fondant. Turned out excellent, make sure to roll the fondant a little thicker so it doesn't break. Also cut a small strip of fondant for the tassel and used the hair tip to make the strings.

Thanks, I am making a cap to put on the sheet cake. I actually decided that the doll pan was too big...duh and used the bottom of a measuring cup to form the gumpaste/fondant. I think I have it now.
