Hi everyone, I would like to know what is the best way of trying out new recipes without spending a fortune. I am feeling more confident about my decorating and I would really like to concentrate on the taste of my cakes. They taste alright, but in my opinion nothing stand out special. icon_cry.gif I have been to several different websites and have found lots of recipes but I don't want to spend a fortune on trying them, especially if they aren't any good. Can I make half of a recipe so I don't have to make the whole batch? Or even smaller? I just not able to spend alot on ingredients.

Not unless someone wants to just hand over all of their recipes thumbs_up.gif

Thanks again
Michelle

I like the website allrecipes.com for recipes in general, not necessarily cake recipes only. I like the website so much because people write in reviews of the recipes and they rate them and say what they like and didn't like about it and any changes they made to improve it.

I look for ones with lots and lots of ratings and see if I'm interested in trying it. I figure if hundreds of people bother writing in about one, and it's something I like, it must be worth trying.

I have not been disappointed.

I mostly make cake mixes so I haven't tried any of the cakes there, but I wouldn't hesitate to pick one with good reviews from there or any other site that reviews recipes.
