14 yr old came in and told me I had to make cookies for a teacher. Seems 14 yr old left her homework laying on the counter this morning. If she turns it in tomorrow, the grade is cut 50%. BUT......! If I make the teacher some cookies, the teacher will allow her an extension with no grade cut!

I'm not sure whether to be ticked at taken advantage of ..... or applaud her ingenuity! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

Good thing I already have some cookies orders and will be baking today!

That kid's got a good appreciation of her assets. icon_smile.gif They learn so young, don't they?

Wow! I am impressed with the smarts of your daughter! I would've never even thought to do that back then! icon_biggrin.gif

I'd let her do it - but SHE has to make the cookies! If you do it, then you are letting her use you - if its her then it IS ingenious icon_smile.gif

Applaud her and tell her and the teacher not to make this a habit!

KoryAK, I luv it! Since there's only a week left in school (and since my grandson / her nephew was born today, I may let her off of the baker's hook since she'll be heading to the hospital to see our newest arrival tonight!)

I know how you feel... we have to help bail them out.

My husband does the same thing. He got to work late this morning and his manager told him "you're late!"

DH: don't you want some pastries that my wife makes?

manager: yes

DH: "are you going to write me up?"

manager: no

DH: Ok, I'll bring you some in the morning.

so I have to send some sweets to send to work in the morning.

sorry this is long.

Jackie
