Ok, so I made the handle, copying that of the teapot I already have. It isn't a fancy teapot, just an everyday one, so that is the way the handle will be...ok, I think I could fashion a lid but the spout, I'm having a terrible time with. I can't seem to get the right look. Is there some way of doing it so that it doesn't look like a penis with a mouth? icon_redface.gif Because, quite frankly, that's how mine turned out...LOL.

This is my first time using gumpaste, and I knew that it dries faster than the fondant, but, I didn't realize just how fast until I tried to 'remodel' the spout because I didn't like how it had turned out. I also thought I could just mold it around the lid itself and silly me thought it could dry for a bit and then take it off....uhhh, not a good idea as it cracked around the edges.

Is there somewhere out there in the net world that I could get something to go by that resembles a spout?

Ha! I've had the exact same complaint with my teapots! I try to make sure they are perky, but I still think they look rather phallic. The thing that I've found that helps the most is shaping the end a bit, make it look open. You can check out the two on my website, and see how you like them. icon_smile.gif
