Can you add gumtex to MMF?? If so what does it do to the fondant?? It is fairly expensive in my neck of the woods (Wilton is all that is available to me) Does a little bit go a long way??

Thanks for all you input.

I usually put about a tablespoon per batch in my mmf but there was a lady used to be on here Squirrely cakes was her name she suggested using powdered denture adhesive instead. It has the same ingredients and also has that fresh minty taste too.

So should I add it to the batch used to cover the cake?? Or just when I am using it to make bows and figurines and stuff??

Is it worth the expense?? I think its about 13.99 for the Wilton can. Is there a cheaper substitute?? No name??

Thanks for your help

Yes there is a cheaper substitute. No I wouldn't add it to the stuff covering the cake. Yes I would use it for figurines. And the cheaper substitute is the polygrip powder you find in the pharmacy section of the store. It is the same ingredients and just has a mint flavoring added to it .

i would put in the amount that is commensurate with the batch you are making if you are making let's say a half batch I would put in 1.5 tsp. instead.
