I am going to make a FBCT next week and I am worried about it coming off of the paper. I use an all crisco based icing, and I saw that it said somewhere to use one with butter... Will this work, or should I make a different icing just for the transfer?? Thanks!

I just did my first FBCT the other day. I use 1/2 crisco and 1/2 butter recipe. I had problems with it coming off the paper the first time because the consistency of my icing was too thin. The second time I tried it, my icing was thicker and it came off with no problem. Hope that helps.

I use the Wilton class buttercream icing, all crisco. I've never had a problem, also if you have leftover colors you can freeze and defrost several times with no change in taste or consistency.

I use all crisco and never had a sticking problem. Just make sure they are good an frozen and work fast! The defrost in a second it seems! I have my cake set up right by the freezer. I just did one on my Nightmare cake ...I learned that if you put them on the side border with bc to prevent slipping!!
