I want to make a fondant bow but I won't have 24 hours to let it dry...does adding gumpaste help it dry faster...anyone have any suggestions?

I haven't made one yet, going to this week for next week, but I read putting in the oven with ONLY the light on will help dry it faster. Some folks add gumpaste or gumtex to help it dry faster and harder.

You can add tylose powder . You just knead it in before you roll it. I'm sorry I can't give amounts but I used about a teaspoon in a ball of fondant as big as my fist. It will dry quick enough that you can put the bow together in about 4 to 6 hours possibly sooner. I went to bed at 1AM the day I used it and put the bow together at 6 AM. It is the bow I used on my whimsy cake in my photos.

Yes..gumpaste will help it dry a bit faster....I've let mine dry under a ceiling fan..that will make it dry a bit faster as well.

Never tried the oven trick....
