I don't really care for my handwriting when piping on cookies/cakes...so last night I decided to give sugarveil a try. OH MY!!! I LOOOOOVE it! I did not order the entire system- just the icing- and then used a #2 tip to pipe out the letters on some parchment that I laid out over the letters that I had printed on my computer. (That was a long sentence) Anyway-they set up nicely and I was able to peel them off and stick them on. I'm at work now- but will post pictures tonight. I am soooo happy with the results- I don't think I'll ever free hand my writing again! (and you know it's good when I got more than just a grunt from my husband...he actually said- whoa- those letters are fancy!)
that's great, sarah! i can't wait to see!!!
pb, check out http://www.sugarveil.com/ for info.
Wow, I can't wait to check out the website! Thanks for the info! ![]()
i have had the entire system for two years how and have never used it. my son gave it to me for a birthday. i'm going to have to drag it out of the cabinet and give it a try. i see so many people on this site talking about how wonderful it is. i'm ok with my printing but my writing could use some help too. another weekend project....check out the sugarveil. thanks for reminding me of it.
Wow that looks amazing! Did you see the dress all out of Sugarveil? Unbelievable! Imagine that wedding night! ![]()

Something else I will have to order now! My husband is going to kill me! ![]()
Oh well, this is an addictive hobby....
Can't wait to see your picture cakesonoccasion.
I will say that it is an acquired taste- I would not do an entire cake with it- but I think the lettering is just fine- especially if it is being consumed with other icing. Mullett- I am so jealous- get thet thing out and use it!!! I will post later tonight- back to the kids...3 more days of teaching!!! ![]()
OK-They're posted- please check my pics- as I still can't figure out attaching to my post!! In hindsight, I think I could have done the lettering even bigger- or a different color- but it was a good start! They're the flip flops and the beach balls. Thanks! ![]()
