i covered a cake dummy in MMF but it look and feels greasey fromt he crisco- i'm wondering what i should do about the piping with RI becase of this will it be ruined and how long will it last? icon_eek.gif

I don't know the answer, but maybe you can blot the fondant, gently, then use the RI?

I've done RI on MMF many times, even with crisco. I think it will be fine. As the previous poster said, try to blot it if there really is a lot of excess, or maybe wait a few hours or overnight before applying the RI. Good luck! thumbs_up.gif

well i decided to dust it with powder sugar which help alot then i went ahead and did my piping i did it Tues (on a cake dummie) the wedding was Sunday and it worked great. Thanks for the suggestions. icon_smile.gif
