Hi, Either get a wilton pan, instructions are here >>.

if time is short, just do a sheet cake, get an image printed off the internet of a little pirate. cut the main shapes from the image then Colour fondant to match colours. You can then cut fondant to match up with picture like a jigsaw.

I'll have another look arounf to see if i spot anything else. Good luck!

hi mom2kay, can you carve at all? If so why don't you do a double depth cake then carve it in the shape of a boat? You can use little plastic pirates on the boat and i'll add chocolates and candies for decotion.
