Hi, I am a WMI in Duluth, MN. I have noticed kind of a problem. There is no other places that offer the WIlton classes around here for the next 100 or so miles. Normally that would be good. You know everyone comes to me for classes at this Michael's. I am hearing a lot of customers saying that it is too far to come for classes, but they do want to take them. So I am trying to see about setting up a new account. Here is my question for you all.....where all do you teach? Michael's, JoAnne's, and where else?

Any suggestions for my little project?

You might want to contact Wilton before you try setting up accounts on your own. You could possibly get in trouble for that. I'm a wilton instructor and if there are no stores but yours that offer classes then it's probably because there just may be no teachers for them. I'm not sure but I would advise against trying to start accounts on your own. If you want to find out why there are no other stores offering classes the contact your supervisor.

Oh gosh, I hope that's not how I came across. I am going threw my supervisor. (I am waiting her returned email.) I was simple wondering what other stores offers the Wilton classes.

Do you have to do it as a wmi? charge the same price for students and do it out of your home as a cake decorating instructor.

I am currently taking the classes through Ben Franlkin's crafts.

I'm so sorry, it just sounded like you might try and get accounts on your own. I'm glad you are going through your supervisor. Stores that I can think of that offer classes are:
Hobby Lobby
Michael's
Jo Ann's
A C Moore
Then there are the independent stores that offer classes as well.
Good luck trying to help out the students that have to drive so far for class.

Perhaps through local Parks and Recreation departments? I know some here offer classes, I'm not sure if they are WMI or not.
