I tried the marshmallow fondant recipe for the first time and it taste great. I absolutely love this recipe. I love it so much that I am willing to decorate almost any cake in fondant now. icon_biggrin.gif It was very easy to make too. I thought it would be difficult but it wasn't. I'm hooked on MMF.

One question...since I haven't used this before, how long can it sit out on a cake in its cake box. I don't want the fondant to harden to bad to where no one can cut into it. The cake is for today but not sure if the fondant can sit on the cake until 6 this evening. Any advice?

It will harden a bit, but you will still be able to cut through it. Use a really sharp knife. I've had cakes covered in mmf for several days and it was still OK.

I actually just took mmf off of a dummy that had sat for 2 weeks. The outside was really hard, but the underneath side was still soft.

Congrats on trying it! I too love mmf and prefer working with it to bc icing.

I'm anxious to try MMF. I've done the Wilton fondant, and it's okay, but I want to try MMF.
