Ok, so I have my first fondant wedding this coming weekend. The cake will be 14, 12, 10, 8....covered in a goldish fondant (There is an example of the color in my pictures-- the solid color), with ivory ribbon (real) at the base of each tier, and the brides flowers as a topper (orchids)...

Now the issue.... I need some sort of design on the sides of each tier.. in RI... scrolls... something, and I don't know whatto do.. she would like some flowers, to match her orchids, but they aren't exactly the easiest flower... she wants it very simple and elegant... I just don't know what to do.. ive never done scroll work, I don't want this part to ruin the cake...

Here's a website that you may get ideas from.

I like the simplicity and elegance of the first pic on the 6th row. HTH.

You could do a dotted swiss pattern on the cakes with a monogram on either a middle tier or the top tier.
