My dear CC'ers - I have a baseball cake order for a 10 year old who is a Yankee fan. I am planning to do the ball pan and of course decorate it accordingly. My idea is to add the NY Yankee logo and the autograph of the boy's favorite Yankee player, so that the cake looks like an autographed Yankee baseballicon_smile.gif What I was thinking of doing was tracing the logo and the autograph on rice paper and placing it on the cake. My question is if I decorate the cake using the star tip and then place the rice paper decorations on the cake, will the rice paper melts nicely onto the cake or will it be awkward? Any help or advise would be sooo appreciated.

I am not a big fan of stars. I also don't think the rice paper will melt into the icing properly on the stars. I would ice the ball smooth rather than use the stars. Much easier than killing your wrist with all those stars. Use Viva and Melvira's roller method to get it super smooth.
