I watched the trailer and read the story synopsis on the website. Sadly, the cake part of the story seems to be only 1 of 4 or 5 threads weaving through the movie. ![]()
The basic plot center on post- 9/11 rebuilding--of lives, relationships, families, etc. One review calls it "Altman-esque" and what I know of Robert Altman films means that it could be great or lousy. ![]()
Being a cynic, I'd say that MSNBC latched onto the cake part of the movie because it's the most colorful--literally--and the current popularity of cake shows on TV (and the personalities around cakes--like Colette Peters, Martha Stewart, etc.) made it the easiest set of characters to showcase.
I'd like to see it--I think...... ![]()
