We had severe thunderstorms, and he saw a picture of a snake in the "Perfect Party Cakes Made Easy" book that he wanted us to make so we did! It was lots of fun doing it with him. He's almost 6. The pic is posted in my gallery! He was so proud of himself that he took it out to the neighbors and told them that he knows that they wish they had me for a mommy, lol. Nothing like your kids to boost your self esteem! It was mmf and a few messy spots, but Jordan did a lot of it and we had a blast!
My son likes to decorate cakes with me. He's 11, and plans to be a chef one day. He truly appreciates food. LOL It's great to share this with the kids. They're our greatest support, aren't they?
I love the "Don't you wish you had a Mommy like mine?" Too cute.
That's really cute!! Isn't it fun including the kids?! My boys are 2 and 4 and already love helping me (sometime too much). What a great activity to spend the day doing with your little guy! Nica job!
I think that is GREAT! The cake is adorable. I have a 6 year old grandson that can tell you what the ingredients are for one of our chocolate cakes - (his favorite) Your son will have those memories with him his whole life - and that is something very special!
That is so cute,My oldest will be 6 in august and he and my 2 yr old love to help me. Anytime my oldest sees me standing by the mixer he asks if im making a cake, so he can help. Then you hear the 2 yr old CAKE CAKE CAKE!!!!!!!!!! I love baking with them, we take turns adding ingredients and turning on the mixer. I need to let him decorate his own cake to post!!!!!!
I love it when kids say cute things, i made a cake one night when he was asleep and when he walked into the kitchen the next morning he stopped and gasp and said "wow..you make the most beautiful cakes mom!". I melted.
The snake looks awesome!!!!
Kids are the greatest aren't they? He really thought that the snake was the best cake we've made. He actually helped color, roll out, and put on the mmf! Anytime the mixer comes on, they are waiting for the ebaters. My three year old sticks around long enough to get the beater, then sneaks back in to try and get more frosting, but the 5 year old loves to decorate!
