Just made a bunch- will post later...but I'm figuring out pricing...does $9 per dozen on the single colored (i.e.) only white chocolate or only brown chocolate, and $12 per dozen on the ones thay have 2 chocolate colors or plain chocolate with a RI design added on top sound fair??? Or should I do $8 and $10. Trying not to sell myself short- but don't want to turn people off...
Thanks!!

Can't really help from personal experience, but I remember reading other posts where people were charging $1.00 per cookie. It costs me approximately 30 cents per cookie (DoubleStuff) to make, when I use part CandyMelts part chocolate chips for the coating.

Thanks! Is there a reason for using part melts and part chips??

The mix gives a better tasting chocolate than just the melts, and the melts help from having to temper the chocolate. If you don't temper real chocolate, you can get a coating that isn't very nice to look at!

That's what I thought- good thinking!! I will try that next...does it also help with the snap?? I want something a little less brittle than just the melts- they sometimes shatter...

I have made CCO using part melts, part chips and I found the chocolate coating on the oreo to be softer, which I did not like. But that's my personal preference.

The mix is softer, yes. I prefer to eat the cookies cold, so it isn't a problem for just the family. If I could get Ghirardelli's dipping chocolate year round, I would definitely use that, but it's available only around the holidays.
