I have a niece graduating from 8th grade. She has always said that she wants to be a Marine Biologist. I'd like to make her a cake that shows her I support her and encourage her to follow her dreams after graduating high school.. Anyone have any ideas for a simple cake???

Hi there! I was thinking that you could do a simple square cake with a smoothed frosting or fondant color that she liked and then piped on top, it could say MARINE BIOLOGY and then give the definition and somehow include her name in the definition.

Hope that helps!

You could incorporate coral (made from fondant or gumpaste?) into the decoration on the sides or border of the cake. Add some sea life (fish, turtles, jellyfish, etc.) or maybe some scuba gear?
