I have some Royal Icing that I made last Saturday that got left in my box of cake stuff for class.

Is it still good to make flowers with or should it have been refrigerated? It's made with powdered sugar and meringue powder and water. I'm making a cake for my neighbor who just got home from the hospital and don't want to send her back!

It will be fine just mix it up again and use it.

I don't think you're supposed to keep royal in the fridge, so you should be fine!

I'm new to all this and have a question. How long is royal icing good for?

Oh maybe that's why I was having problem with making royal icing roses. I put the icing in the fridge after only making a few because the kids were fighting and then when I was trying to make roses with it that evening it kept melting off the nail!

Was worse than trying to use too soft buttercream, don't think I will be refrigerating Royal Icing again.
