Hi all again,
I'm trying to find which sugarcraft books to buy but there are so many. Do you have authors you prefer over others? I think all of Alan Dunn's books look like they're going to be good. Are they? Also, I need a good book for figure modelling; preferably not cartoonish looking stuff but more realistic. Any ideas?

I enjoy anything written by Debbie Brown.Her books are great and she does have some cute childrens cake books.I also like Toba Garrett to name a few!!

Well...IMHO...If you're going to follow the book, I mean really sit down and practice, then I'd recommend Nicholas Lodge Sugarcraft books 1 and 2. They seem to be easy to follow, they also have many step by step pictures. If you want something radical, try Collete Peters new book Cakes to Dream on, which came out this past November.
BUT, if you're a book collector, just browse the web for helpful websites, such as this one.
It seems to be my case...I've bought books like crazy...Now ask me if I've practiced anything from them!
