What do I put under a cake board of a stacked wedding cake so when they go to cut the cake and are finished with the top layer and go to the second layer, how do you make the frosting stick to the cake instead of the cake board

I now use powdered sugar. I use to use coconut, but many people are allergic to that.

I cut wax paper in the shape of the cake board then place the wax paper underneath the board. When I do this there is no mess. The icing is still there and even more smooth looking. icon_smile.gif

Also, you can use a round of parchment paper to go between. No sticking. icon_biggrin.gif
