I have the directions for the half carnations but it says to use tip 150. I don't have tip 150. To me it looks like its a bigger petal tip and I don't want large petals. So do you think I could get away with just using tip 103 or 104? Posted is the picture.

I used the 104 to make full carnations, don't see why it wouldn't work for the half ones to! Here's the directions I have for full ones, you can see where the first petal looks like the one on yours, and this is done with 104. Good luck!! icon_biggrin.gif

Thank you! I have never seen a tip 150 so I wasn't positive about it being a petal tip. I think the directions of your carnations look easier than mine. I might try both and see which one I like better. Thanks again!

I was curious and looked up tip 150 on Wilton's web site. it is completely straight, not like the regular petal tips. Here's the link:

Thank Vienneaus for the link. Maybe I'll try using tip 44 or 45 then. I'm going to Michael's later today and I'll look for tip 150 but I don't think they have it. I need to order a bunch of tips online and start expanding my collection.

I just looked up the directions on carnations on wilton's website. Although they recommend tip 150, they said "tip 104 optional". So it appears you could use the 104 tip instead. Good luck

I was at Michaels this afternoon and they have the tip 150, I didn't get one but checked it out. It does look like the 104, it's not straight, but not quite as slanted, but bigger. They have it for only $1.49 if anyone needs one thumbs_up.gif

I just got home from Michael's where I purchased a tip 150. Good thing I'd hadn't put in that order yet online. I had never seen it at michaels before. I thought I owned one of each that they have. Now off to make icing.

I was just going to say that I went to Craftmania this weekend and spotted tip 150 there too! (I don't know if Craftmania is a chain store.)
