OK MAKING A FOOTBAL CAKE MADE MANY BEFORE. HOWEVER I AM OUT OF THE CLASSIC YELLOW CAKE MIX... USING THE DURABLE CAKE FOR 3D AND WEDDING ALL I HAVE LEFT IS THE YELLOW BUTTER CAKE MIXED, CAN I USED THAT INSTEAD.. THIS CAKE IS DO AT 5OCLOCK AND IT IS 1:42 PM HERE jAPAN

Yes, it'll be fine. The yellow butter is often rather sturdy and very close to pound cake. If you have it on hand it would be very helpful to add a box of vanilla pudding!

SO SHOULD I ADD THE BUTTER OR THE OIL SHOULD I FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTION FOR THE 3D CAKE

I would make it as directed, with butter. If you don't have butter then oil will be fine. I've heard you can add a tablespoon of meringue powder for each cup of batter to firm the cake up.

THE DURABLE CAKE FOR 3D AND WEDDING CAKES CALL FOR VEGETABLE OIL BUT THE CAKE MIX CALL FOR BUTTER SO IT DOES NOT MATTER

Not in my opinion. Some think that oil in the Butter Recipe doesn't taste right but I think it tastes the same. I say if you have butter ready then use it. If not replace with the oil.

I made a ball pan cake(which call for a durable recipe) with plain chocolate cake mix. Nothing else added. No problems with it falling apart.

Sorry! I was poking around in the galleries. GO with the butter, but if you're out of it oil will do ok.
