hi , i'm a new cake decorater and i have a question on how do i store fondant roses and how long can they be stored?also does any one actually eat this stuff?i would like to make some roses for practice and store them if they look ok thank you to all who answer. carolyn56

i store mine in a ziploc bag and then put in a rubbermaid container. They will last forever. The only people i have seen eat them is my 4 yr old nephew.

I think I remember reading that you shouldn't lock them in airtight containers. Because of humidity.

That being said I store mine in a plastic tub with no lid in a closed cabinet.

I heard someone else say a shoebox. I think the most important thing is a dark place away from moisture. BTW-I made mine in my wilton course in November and I still have them...they still look great! I used them on a cake (Leia's cake in my photos) and then cleaned them off! icon_lol.gif I couldn't bear to throw away all that work!! icon_lol.gif
