I have had great results making my own with the Wilton mix, you only add water!

If you can find it in your area, definitely buy the new pre-made Wilton gumpaste. This stuff is so superior to the mix-it-yourself powder! There's no need to add additional gum-tex to it to facilitate quick drying. It's consistent, can be rolled very thin, isn't sticky, and dries rock hard in 24-36 hours.

I use my 40% off coupons from Michael's and JoAnn, so a 1 lb. package runs about $4.20 (vs. $3.60 for the powder mix) and goes a long way. In my photos, you can see a recent cake with gumpaste diploma and flags. I've also made roses, peonies, lilies, etc. with it, and I will NEVER fuss with powdered mix/ingredients again!
