I just did this cake for a bridal shower. I love the front of the cake but not so sure on the back. What do you think of the hearts thumbsdown.gifthumbs_up.gif ? I don't know if I like them. It is what the client asked for but I don't know. If you want to see the front of the cake too you can look in my pics. Thanks and be honest!

Honestly, the only thing that gets me is the lines - they don't all match up on both sides of the heats and some are smeared.

I know, I don't think you can get them perfect with this technique but I will certainly keep trying! It is my first wrap using two colors of chocolate!

I think the cake looks great. I have seen this tech before and it looked like this. Also I looked in your album love all your cakes. The wedding cake is very pretty and elegant. I am LDS and I love the temple for the topper.

I like the hearts! That's a great way to finish off the back!

I think this looks very nice!!! I like the hearts to finish off the back. It's good to have someting to tie those ends together. Man, doing those horizontal lines around the cake would be tough. I guess you'd have to have then marked all the way around and pipe over the lines. I'll go look at the one in your album. Good job!

I like the technique. Is there a way to have the roses stand out more? It is a very beautiful cake. thumbs_up.gif

I love the cake, and I like the hearts piped on the back. But to be honest, I think the big heart on top makes the flowers look smashed - I agree that if the flowers could stand out more it would look more elegant icon_smile.gif You are very talented!!

Because it was the back of the cake I wasn't to concerned. I needed the big heart at that angle so the front would look nice.

Thank you everyone for your input. It helps to see your cakes from other peoples eyes sometimes!

I think if you provided what your client wanted, it's perfect! I do think instead of hearts, some of those beautiful roses going down the side to camaflauge the joint would have been really pretty too. She's going to love this one!
