I can't remember if I asked this already, and it's late, so I guess I'll ask again. I have a dummy cake that's decorated (all royal icing). I'm tired of looking at it, and want to change it up, and would like to use the same cakes if possible. How do I get rid of the royal icing? rub down with crisco? Soak in water? Any suggestions would be great. I really would like to do something else with it. TIA!

I've never done it, but I think you can wrap it beforehand in plastic wrap. Then just wipe off most of the icing and take off the plastic wrap.

Hope this helps icon_smile.gif

If you dident pre wrap it in plastic wrap, I would just soak it, or maybe craking it and breaking it off???? Good question

You can just wash it off. It's pretty easy and doesn't take very long. I used warm water on mine and the royal came right off.

thanks everyone...I will try the washing, so I'll have to go outside and use the hose, hopefully that'll work. Thanks for the advice on the plastic wrap, I'll use that this time around.
