My dark chocolate bled into my white.
I waited for the dark to dry, then added the white.

White chocolate is richer than milk!
I made some with two nilla wafers and they tasted great! Now, if I can figure out how to do two colors icon_sad.gif

Here is a picture of a new mold I bought on ebay. I put an oreo next to it for size reference.
They are really too big for chocolate covered oreos, but worked out great for chocolate covered NFSC.
I LOVE the Peace sign! I'm going to do some in yellow and pink next icon_smile.gif

Either your dark wasn't entirely set, or the white was too hot, or both.

That was it!

I just finished making these.......

My son's taking these to a HS graduation party tomorrow evening. The blue paws represent his school mascot.

The peace sign, was that a chocolate mold or soap mold on ebay? I think it's very cool and would love to add those to my growing list of chocolate covered anything!

Thanks!!

Thanks!
The first photo shows the problem. I wanted two colors and they shouldn't bleed together like that.

Chocolate covered oreos are fun & EASY!
Here's a tutorial

Oh yes- GREAT IDEA!
My son wants me to try rice crispy treats too. I went to my local candy/cake store and bought some caramel that comes in the form of a block. I'm going to do NFSC and with a slice of caramel. Oh, and I have done these using two nilla wafers. They tasted REALLY good!

Did you see the bon bon frogs done with mini oreos? They're in the cookie gallery. TOO CUTE!

I've gone chocolate crazy!!!! I purchased a 10lb bag of chocolate melts and box of hersey bars from Costco. I do a 50/50 mix of the two chocolates.

and just in case those of you who are new to our oreo addiction... when you order from spinninglead.. join the site and receive 5% off your molds AND you get a FREE mold, yes you read it correctly, a FREE mold... if you request a particular one in the comment box on the order screen they will try to send that one to you.. not always, but it has worked 2 out of my 3 orders... and the 1st one I didn't request, so I guess I should say it worked both times, but no promises on all orders icon_smile.gif Good luck and enjoy the addiction... I will be giving these out as Thank you gifts to my customers who order cakes icon_smile.gif

Spinningleaf.com was quick to deliver too! My freebie was the paw mold which was great because I couldn't decide between that one or the "face" thumbs_up.gif

crolfes83, do you add milk or anything else to your chocolate, just wondering? I plan to give this a try. Yours look sooooo amazing!

Thanks,
Steph

Thanks!
No, I don't add milk.

I melt 1.5cups of chocolate milk chocolate melts in my micro for one full minute, then stir in 1.5cups of Hersey's real milk chocolate, zap it another 15 seconds in the micro.
I've read (over on the candy forum) you can bypass tempering the real chocolate by adding it into the candy melts. The real chocolate enriches the flavor.
It seems Guittards chocolate melts are the most popular tasting if you can get some locally. If not, you have to pay overnight shipping to order it online.
I used Peter's chocolate melts - which are really Nestle's.
Several have mentioned using almond bark from Walmart, and liking the flavor.

Hope this helps!

Spinningleaf is a great company!!! I ordered almost all their designs, minus a few. I thought for sure they would send me a duplicate free mold....NOPE! They sent me a mold I didn't order! Just one of the BEST company's on the net!
