HI . JUST WANTED TO KNOW HOW TO MAKE THE ROPE LOOKING BORDERS THEY ARE LOVELY AND WANNA TRY MY FIRST ONE WEEKEND. THANKS FOR SHARING. DIAMONDS MOM. ![]()
Easy to do, hard to explain. It is basically a series of "s" shapes. Start with an S (laying on it's side) then tuck the end of the next S into the hump/hill of the previous one. It really is easy, I just dont know how to explain it. It is in the Wilton course 2 book, maybe on their website also. It probably would help you to look at a picture.
HI MERISSA: DO YOU HAVE A PIC OF ANY CAKE WITH IT? THAT MIGHT HELP CAUSE I DON'T HAVE THE WILTON COURSE 2 BOOK. WHAT TIP DO YOU USE?
You could use the star tips like 21 or 16. I dont think I can post my pictures on the forum because they are too big I think, but click on my photos below and look at my babyshower cake, I have it on the top and bottom borders. Sorry I am not much help, I guess I am not good with words....
In your message I do not see "piped" so I will suggest Fondant..
I always make Fondant ropes, and they really look like ropes, not a bunch on ""SSS's" together.. It looked like a satin cord. very easy too .. ![]()
