I have a customer who wants a pooh baby shower cake and she called me just now and wants something on the cake that the mom can keep for a scrapbook. Any ideas?

I don't think I have any bright ideas, but this is a bump so someone else may be able to help!

As if the invitations, napkins, and the million photos she's going to take won't be enough?!? (just kidding) Why not make Pooh "holding" a ribbon that has a charm of some kind buried inside of the cake? Then the expectant mom can pull it out before the cake is cut.

OR !
if you have a local craft store like Michael's or Joann's Fabrics. They sell Disney inspired cake decor that aren't 3D.
like edible items & paper items for decor on a cake.

I did something like that recently.
I made a fondant honey pot ( what "pooh" is i guess famous for ) that had the letters H U N N Y in disney font that werent edible.
SO she took a picture of the cake & aligned those letters i provided with the picture so it made a "3D effect" in her book.

other than that. SORRY ! :[
Goodluck though.
just dont forget to have fun. & it'll come to ya.

I don't know why i pm'd for this. But basically what i told her is , i laminate alot of things , make my own lay ons. She could laminate a pooh picture, which could be added to the scrapbook later on. I use a laminator because it's a cheap way to add any cake decoration i want, and they also are able to stand up on the cake for things like Christmas scenes, etc. Really love doing this. Sheila

Thanks for the ideas. I think laminating a picture is an awesome idea and I might try that. I live in Germany so I can't go out and browse a craft store. (I really miss that sometimes). I did find some pooh figurines online that I'm thinking about getting, but they are pricey.
