What tip should I use to make a nice, big swirl on a cupcake?

from what I have read and tried, the 1M tip is recommended mostly(to make a large rosette)...maybe you could look into some other tips that are that size too.

I used the 1M tip for my first attempt at fancy cupcakes yesterday.

I first filled them with the Ding Dong cake filling using the Bismark tip (#230)....and I have a question about that. Tip 230 didn't fill either the standard or large coupler, I wound up using a disposable bag without a coupler. Is there a coupler that this tip fits??

I've always just used a regular open star tip to fill my cupcakes. The bismark looks very skinny, you probably have to use a disposable or a regular bag cut just to fit it.

I also just use the regular star tip to fill my cupcakes.

I was reading the cupcake bouquet thread started by cambo she made some very pretty swilrs on her cupcakes. She stared the swirl from the inside of the cupcake and continued to the outside. Cambo also made a tutorial on how to do it. Here is the link:
