Oh man, you guys....
Last Thursday I was with my family in Cleveland, we went to the Tiger's/ Indians baseball game. So it was the same night as game 5 of the NBA Eastern Conferance finals.(which was in DEtroit that night). Anyway, the Tigers got crushed the last half of the game, it was hard to sit and listen to everyone down Detroit. (especially with Sheffield getting ejected and everything, if any of you watched the game) Then after the game was over, it seemed everyone walked over to the Cavalier's stadium to watch the game (The stadium had a watch party that night).
Well, our hotel was kiddie-corner to the basketball stadium, and after the game was over, everybody flooded out. And they were shouting, yelling, screaming, honking their horns, whistling...it was SOooooo loud. You would've thought they won a world championship that night or something. I mean, I understand getting excited and happy for your team, I know we do it in Detroit. But come ON, it was game five, not seven. (and they won after two overtimes, and only by 2 points!) lol. The whole thing made me laugh, and laugh, and laugh. lol.
Anyway, I thought it might give you other detroit fans a chuckle. Too bad we lost the conference, but hey, we made it into the top four teams (at least) in the NBA 5 years in a row. I'm proud of them.
I do hope the Spurs win though lol.
