Mine has been in the oven for 65 minutes, and is still jugly in the middle! I used a flower nail, and the directions on the paper said bake 35-40 minutes at 325! Am I burning the edges of this cake?

It usually happens when you put to much cake in the pan. How much did you put in?? And you prob. peeked to much. My secret is to set the timer and walk away, if the cake is still a little jiggly, then give it another 5 to 10 min. Usually for a full sheet cake you wanna make small layers and stack them with BC.

I just baked one today and I used 2 flower nails and baked it for 40 min at 350. If it's not to late you could bump up the heat a bit and see if that helps.

Is your oven working ok? I have never had an 11x15 take more then 40 to 45 minutes.

It's finally finished, after about an hour and 15 min! How many mixes do you guys use in an 11x15? I had a cake friend tell me today that she uses 3 mixes, but I ended up with extra batter...enough for 10 cupcakes! I probably should have just used 2 mixes?

An 11x15x2 takes 11 cups of batter. Two cake mixes might be enough depending on brand and flavor.

Here's a box cake chart:

(An 11x15x2 is 1/3 sheet, a 12x18x2 is 1/2 sheet.)
