Sorry if this is a dumb question!!!!
I would like to make a Kahlua filling and add kahlua to BC frosting. This is for a bridal shower in which little girls may attend.
Would I be able to cook the kahlua on the stove top for a short period of time to take the alchol out and leave the flavor before adding it to the filling and frosting??? Would this change the flavor too much?
What do you all do when you want a certian flavor and little kids will be eating it??
Thanks in advance
Not so sure about if it will change the flavor I use it in french toast dip.As far as the girls go I have 5 kids and only the "weird" one likes the taste of coffee
So maybe you could make a small cake in a kid friendly flavor?
You could also do a coffee addition instead of the kahlua, since that is the base flavor of it.

In the past, when I've made tiramisu that called for Kahlua, I've just used decaf coffee if I knew there were going to be kids eating it. Maybe you could do that? Or, like somebody else said, make a special little girl cake. Just a small one.
Or, just let them know that there's Kahlua, and if their moms want to scrape out the filling, let them do so.
