I am starting the planning process for my cousin's wedding cake, and from what she has told me so far, she wants a hydrangea themed cake. She has said she wants it to be a little "off the wall" type cake, basically saying that she wants the tiers in the shape of hydrangea flowers. Anyone have any suggestions for this kind of cake?
I'm working on one with that theme myself........ it is for my granddaughter....... I'm using a garden stand that holds 3 tiers, and I'm trying to figure out how to make the two side cakes into topieraies...... that sure would take care of the hydrangea part of it....... I think I'm going to get a couple of cake stands that have the clear plastic tubes that stand about 10 inches tall, and then use the "sport ball" pan, and cover it with lavender and blue hydrangeas..... What do you think........ not your "everyday" cake, and doesn't sound to hard to do........
Good idea. I'll have to get some of the stands and the ball pans, but it would definitely work. I'll pass it by my cousin to see what she thinks. Thanks for your input.
How about a low slung bouquet of hydrangeas in a white basket cake.
