Where is the best place to start? cookies? then move onto cakes? any good beginner books or sites to read first? thanks!

its called Pretty Party Cakes- not too sure, but it may just be a little too advanced for me right now. but the stuff in the book looks amazing!!
I'll probably try cookies first to test out making flowers w/ icing and stuff

I've learned as much at cake central as I did in my original three wilton classes. This site is great! I delivered a cake to my daughter's school yesterday for their year end "beach" party and every one of the ladies in the office now want to take the classes at our local store that provides them. I didn't think to mention that most of what I did on that cake I didn't actually learn in class. I modified things I've seen on this site.
