I posted a question in the forum a month or so ago, and got some good advice. The best though was to ask around to other bakeries near you. I was hesitant to do this, thinking that they may refuse to do so. I called a local bakery though, and just told them that I do a little baking on my own, and was wondering if they might would sell me 10 - 15 boxes and boards at a time. They agreed, and got a price together for me. She told me what their price was and that they would sell it to me at their cost!!!! This comes out to about 50 cents a box (for the 1/2 sheet size). I was paying nearly $3 each in the local craft stores!!!! What a savings, and I don't have to pay shipping!

Thanks for asking this question. I had not even thought about getting them from somewhere other than my local craft and party supply store. I now know that I have been paying way too much. Great ideas. I will be calling local bakeries soon.

I was just recently introduced to this site, and I am already addicted. I love it.

Happy baking....

If you happen to need 1/2 sheets Sams Club sells their boards and boxes by the case of 50 for super cheap. I got them and it comes out to .16c per board and .65c per box. They sell the box lids and bottoms seperately. Mine were the window lids.

Maybe try a Sams Club near you. ( btw, Costco does not sell them)

also check bulk food stores near you if you don't need a case of boxes.
