Can I use lemon extract instead of alchohol to airbrush gold or pearl dust on fondant? It is for a child so I didn't want to use the liquor just in case. Thanks!

I've never used the extracts so I don't know. I guess since you can mix the dusts with it to paint it would work.

The alcohol does evaporate though, so you aren't really coating a cake with alcohol.

You can use lemon,almond or vanilla. All work great.
