I looked in Michael's today, will try A.C. Moore tomorrow. Michael's didn't have the rose cutters but only some cheap looking tools, a huge 32 piece gumpaste kit I don't need or want and a small foam pad. I am not expecting much from A.C. Moore either so I need to know where to look online. I don't mean to be lazy but I have a time constraint and thought some of you would share where you buy your supplies please. I've never done these before either so any help would be appreciated! It's for a favor for my SIL who is catering a wedding....I won't be doing the cake, she only needs flowers. Worse scenario, I make BC roses which I am okay with. Thank you!
Here are some sites...
www.sugarcraft.com
http://www.countrykitchensa.com has the good quality JEM cutters
www.cakesbysam.com
www.internationalsugarart.com - This is Nicholas Lodge's store...I've ordered from them before, but they are local to Georgia, so I just go and pick it up. They are really helpful though.
hopefully this helps. ![]()
I got mine off Ebay, but Hobby Lobby has them too.
I would try ebay like standing for jesus said that is where I get alot of stuff.
Thank you everyone and gorgeous flowers sweetsuccess!
Would someone please kindly tell me what I am going to need for these? No luck at A.C.Moore, like I thought so I have to buy somethings online. If I cannot get them in time, I suppose BC it is. I want to keep it simple and only buy what I need. I'd prefer to use fondant only and not any gumpaste at this time. How do I attach them to the cake? Cloth floral wire? What gauge if so? I might use the Hershey kiss as a base, will that work? That will make the flower heavier, will the wire hold? I am going by the seat of my pants on this as my sister in law is leaving tomorrow for vacation and I have to do some practicing or I will only have less than a week and she still hasn't told me how many she needs. What fun.
