Hi All,

Am planning my husband's 39th birthday party on the 20th June. Am trying to think of some ideas for the cake but my brain cells are not working well. I would really appreciate it if you guys could throw some ideas my way.

He doesn't really have any specific interests or hobbies which he indulges in regularly. I guess that is why it is difficult for me.

He is an accountant by proffession, a Spurs supporter, likes playing squash and loves travelling and London is his fav.

The cake doesn't necessarily need to be around the above, I welcome all sorts of ideas.

Thanks for the support!

The thought that came to my mind is April calendar with no 15th on it. I know the accountant my mom works for dreads tax time. Doubt this will help much...lol.

My thought was an adding machine with the number 39 on the screen. Another idea I wanted to try for my hubby was to do a 3d television by stacking a bunch of cake pieces and make a remote out of fondant. Good Luck

You are right butterflyjuju. Here in Malaysia, 30th April is the D-day!

I love the idea mushbug9, my husband too loves watching TV. Will explore the idea...

Thanks!

If he loves London, why don't you do Big Ben?

If there are going to be no kids at the party you can always do a female body cake. thumbs_up.gif

Other wise, if you really can't figure out something using what he likes you can always do a present cake. You can do stacked ones depending on how much cake you need or a single present. Just use masculine colors for it, blue, green and such.

The green bow cake in my photos was done for a male.

Thanks a lot for all the ideas, guys.

Since I am very new to baking, I do not have the confidence to do Big Ben though I would love to, and I hope I will attempt it very soon.

I am thinking of doing a word puzzle cake. TexasSugar, I am going to use the same green as yours for the base. I like it.

Thanks again everybody!
