Hi everyone,
Is there a tutorial for doing a two tier cake? I've done lots of "layer cakes" etc. But never anything that required dowels or plates. My daughter is graduating from hs and thinks I can do anything after seeing my cupcake bouquet. Ha! Any help is appreciated. icon_lol.gif

I am a new new newbie and have never done stacking before but just have a question on the stacking. Yesterday I bought bamboo skewers, will they work as dowel rods? One end is sharp so wondering if that would go through the cake boards? Has anyone ever had a tip break from pounding them through the cake boards, that would be bad as then you would have that in the middle of the cake? I just can't imagine it going through the cakeboards that easily, I guess I just need to try?!
