I think my MMF is too dry how do I mend it. It isn't pliable

You tried warming it in the microwave a few secs and kneading in some crisco?

Add more shortening. Or a few drops of water. Or even put some flavoring in it, in place of in fluid you might want to add. Experiment. Only way to find things out and for them to stick.

Have fun! Easily said, huh? But for reals.

I was making 3 batches just tonight, and one was not as pliable as it should have been. I wet my hands and started kneading, then once it got sticky I added more crisco. I kept doing this until it became more pliable.
