Hello I'm new here and just have a few questions if someone could be so kind to answer.
!1) I noticed on cake decorating shows they paint on their fondant(not air spray) but with a paint brush,What are they using? is it some kind of cake paint that edible or is it just the gel paste watered down?and if it is cake paint where do you get it?
2) Does anyone have a chocolate buttercream recipe?
I appreciate any answers I can get..

Welcome - beware this site is addicting.
Some use airbrush colors to paint on their cakes and others use the gel coloring usually thinned with alcohol of some sort (absolut or vanilla etc). There are lots of different receipes in the receipes section.

Welcome and whatever you need to know in the area of cakes and decorating you have found the perfect place. I just use gel color and various craft brushes (just some paintbrushes I found at Walmart actually) and paint. I think my colors down with lemon extract or vodka because it's what I have on hand. Just pretend your food coloring is your paint.
Just wanted to say welcome to CC! I haven't tried painting on my cakes yet. Hopefully I will get the chance one day soon. There are several good chocolate buttercream recipes in the recipe section.
