I am looking for a doctored cake mix recipie for a Banana nut cake. Has anyone ever made the one in the cakemix doctor book? the one in there used caramel icing, but I'm just going to do cream cheese. Will this taste ok? What do you think?

icon_lol.gif I think cream cheese tastes best on a spoon, directly in my mouth!!!

I've never made a banana nut cake. Is it supposed to taste like banana nut bread?

I think that would taste really good. Makes me want some, without nuts though!

I make banana nut cake with cream chees icingall the time!! It's awesome and they compliment each other very well. Especially if the cake isn't too sweet. I love the combo.
